THE FESTIVAL
After many years without having fixed timetables to play the drums, the authorities started to regulate the dates and times for drumming as they realised it was impossible to ban it since it became a very popular tradition. That time regulation originated The Drums Night.

The drum in Mula (Murcia, Spain) and its tradition have been evolving with the time.. We have no knowledge of the instruments that originated the “tamborada” (drum parade),although we suppose that those were military style boxes that probably belonged to a brotherhood.

The origin of the Mula’s Drummers Association was a meeting that took place on Sunday 4th March 1979, where the drummers of Mula attended to discuss the tradition.
